One of two obscure 80s/90s sport compacts that I saw yesterday and that I want. Badly. The other? Mid-90s Sentra-based 200SX SE-R

Kinja'd!!!

I had no idea the FWD 200SX even existed, let alone an SE-R variant. I now want one. I don’t care if it’s probably a piece of shit. I want one.

I had 2 normally aspirated 5-door Sprints in the 90s and loved them. I bet the turbo version could even go up hills!

As a teen, I worked as a landscaper for a bank in my town. The bank had a Sprint Turbo as a company car for...some reason... I don’t know that I ever saw it move. I was quite fascinated by the ‘Intercooler’ port on the front. I didn’t know what an intercooler was at the time...but it sure looked cool on that crapcan economy car.

Good luck, sir.

Yeah, the last 200SX really was just a Sentra 2-door instead of a truly special design. It was more a successor to the Pulsar/NX than a car in the SX tradition.

As for the Sprint Turbo, I always liked them, too. Feast your eyes:
